GAME1 PC TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
WHAT IS GAME1 PC TOURNAMENT?
Game1 PC Tournament is a 300 player LAN Gaming Event running in conjunction with the Autosalon Car Show. Game1 PC Tournament is presented by shafted (the team who brought you the 1000 player event - Big Day In). Bring your PC from home and plug into a 300 player local area network to play your favourite games with friendly competition. Download demos and trailers. Compete with the best in the Tournament for great prizes or hang back and just play for fun with other PC gamers. Take a break from the PC gaming scene to play in the Xbox Tournament or checkout the Autosalon event; showcase cars, autosalon showgirls and masses of exhibitors. Pro gamer or casual gamer you couldn't ask for more.

WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?
Game1 will be running on the 4th-5th of November at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre (2 Clarendon St, Southbank).

Running from 10AM on the Saturday overnight to Sunday 5PM. The event runs overnight and sleeping area will be provided.

HOW DO I GET THERE?
The Melbourne Exhibition Centre and Convention Centre is easily accessable by Tram, Train, Taxi or Car. A loading dock will be available to drop off your PC at the event.

WHAT DO I BRING?
Essential Items:

  • A computer with a network card
  • A surge protected power board
  • Headphones* (no speakers allowed sorry)
  • All your device drivers
  • Your Favorite Games
  • Network cable (UTP, NOT Coax) (10 metres or longer if possible)
  • A licensed copy of your operating system
  • A good attitude
  • You will be provided with one (1) network and one (1) power socket.
  • A sleeping bag
  • Snack food
    If you do not own your own piece of network cable, good, high quality 10 metre cables will be available for purchase at the event.
    You will be provided with one power socket to plug into per player, so if you need more than one socket you must bring a powerboard. We recommend one with a surge protector.
    Microwave ovens and bar fridges permitted if space allows.

    WHAT DO I GET FOR MY MONEY?
    For $22 you can register for a seat in a massive 300 player LAN Event including comps for all your favourite game titles. Thanks to our sponsors CNET, GameSpot and Xbox360 Major comps will have some serious prize money, be sure to register for:

    Besides entry to the PC tourneys, you can also register for the Xbox tournament which will be running side by side with the PC LAN.

    To top it all off you will have FULL ACCESS to the Autosalon event, all the tech tricked out cars, Autosalon showgirls, and exhibitors completely FREE (entry to Autosalon is normally $22 on it's own!).

    EVENT RULES

    The following applies to all participants and spectators attending or planning to attend the Game1 event. Conditions of Entry

  • You must wear your player tag at all times.
  • You must sign in and pay at the front desk before entering the hall/playing areas.
  • Game1 takes no responsibility for any materials that are located on participants computers or downloaded between players.
  • Players aged younger than 18 years require parental consent.
  • Game1, whilst providing a security presence, will take no responsibility for software or hardware damage or theft of equipment at the event.
  • You must consent to the unabridged list of conditions made available and subject to change at http://Game1.shafted.com.au

    The organisers reserve the right to deny entry, or evict, by force if necessary, any person for any reason, without stating or justifying the action, and without penalty to Shafted, legally or financially.

    WHAT DON'T I BRING?
    Things that shouldn't be brought to Game1:

  • Speakers and Subwoofers (They WILL be confiscated, if you don't have any headphones buy a pair!)
  • Any material not suited for people as young as 15.
  • Software that you do not own, ie the exchange of 'warez' will not be tolerated.
  • Real weapons of any description
  • Alcohol (The age limit for this event is 15)
  • Any kind of narcotic substance
